How to Post Pictures on the Website

Here is a simple step by step process for adding your own pictures to the website. I ask that you resize the images to a size of 640 x 480. Any images larger than that will be to large to view comfortably for everyone. You can use any photo editing software to re-size the pictures. If anyone has any problems you can always E-Mail me. I can post the pictures for you.

Select the "Topic" where you would like to post the pictures. It can be any topic on the site, but if they are all fishing or fish related pictures, please post them on the "Fishing Photo Gallery" topic. Please do not post them in another members category such as "Al's Pictures". Use either "A Day at the Lake Indiana Side or Illinois Side" whichever is appropriate. For an example, click on "A Day at The Lake (indiana side)"

(see image below)

Name the Topic under "Topic Title" - Example -- "Dannys Pictures
Name the "Topic Description" - Example -- Fish I Caught on Feb 2nd 2004
Under "Enter Your Post" - Put a desription of the picture if you wish
(see image below)

Now for the final step..... You must have the picture on your computer to post a picture on the website. Towards the bottom it says "File Attachments". Click the "BROWSE" button, and a box will pop up asking you to specify the location on your computer where the picture is located. You can only post 1 picture at a time. After you select the picture, click either "Post Topic" or "Preview Post" to see how it will look on the website. IMPORTANT NOTICE -- To add more pictures, you have to post the first picture, view your post, then click " Add Reply" to your original post each time you want to post another picture.

(see image below)

Please note that when you "attach" a picture to your message and hit the "Preview Post", the image will not show up until you hit "Post New Topic". Don't worry if you make a mistake, you can always view your post, then hit the "Edit" button to make changes. If you decide you dont want the message entirely, you can "delete" the message. This only works for the person who originally posted the message.
